Transfer news, rumours LIVE: Arsenal increase Aubameyang offer, no Tottenham talks over Malcom


Welcome to the London Evening Standard’s LIVE coverage of the winter transfer window.

The main saga of the window is over, with Manchester United winning the battle to sign Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez. Henrikh Mkhitaryan has gone the other way on a three-year contract.

Arsenal are also readying a huge offer of £35million plus Olivier Giroud for Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and there could yet be more action at the Emirates with the Gunners battling Tottenham for Malcom.

Elsewhere, Chelsea were hoping to complete an shock move for West Ham striker Andy Carroll having already completed a £15m deal for Ross Barkley. The Blues have agreed to sign Emerson Palmieri from Roma on a four-year deal, while Edin Dzeko could also join from the Serie A side.

So far, Barcelona have completed the signing of Philippe Coutinho for a whopping £146m after Liverpool made a huge, early move of their own with the £75m signing of Virgil van Dijk from Southampton.
