Troian Bellisario Hits the Streets in First Look at Dick Wolf’s Amazon Cop Show ‘On Call’
Amazon Prime Video has released the first look at “On Call,” a half-hour police drama that marks Dick Wolf’s first scripted streaming series.
The series stars Troian Bellisario and Brandon Larracuente as well as Eriq La Salle, Lori Loughlin, and Rich Ting. The series will premiere on Jan. 9, 2025 with all eight episodes.

Per the official logline, the series follows “a rookie (Larracuente) and veteran officer (Bellisario) duo as they go on patrol in Long Beach, California. Incorporating a mixture of bodycam, dash-camera, and cellphone footage to create a cinema verité effect, the innovative series explores the morality of protecting and serving a community.”
Bellisario’s character is named Traci Harmon, who is described as a “hard-charging but protective veteran officer who struggles to find her place in the department while training the next generation of officers.” Larracuente plays Alex Diaz, said to be “an ambitious rookie who grapples with holding onto his optimistic outlook as he realizes the challenges he’ll face in today’s climate.”

“On Call” was originally ordered to series in 2021 at what was then IMDB TV, now Amazon Freevee. Like several other Freevee shows, It was then shifted over to Prime Video.
“On Call” was created by Tim Walsh and Elliot Wolf. Both serve as executive producers along with Dick Wolf, LaSalle, and Peter Jankowski. LaSalle also directed multiple episodes in addition to his onscreen role. The series is produced by Universal Television and Amazon MGM Studios in association with Wolf Entertainment.
Wolf Entertainment is best known for the “Law & Order” and “One Chicago” franchises at NBC, as well as the “FBI” franchise at CBS. Recently, “Law & Order: Organized Crime” moved from NBC to Peacock for its upcoming fifth season, but “On Call” will be the first scripted series from Wolf Entertainment to debut exclusively on a streaming platform.
