Tropical Storm Talas Brings Flooding to Coastal Japan

Tropical Storm Talas moved northeast along Japan’s southern coastline on Friday, September 23, the country’s meteorological agency said, bringing flooding to some areas.

Video filmed by Twitter user @shonosuke1023 shows flooding in Hamamatsu in Shizuoka Prefecture. An evacuation order was issued for Hamamatsu on Friday due to the rising water level of the Miyakoda River.
