Trump Taunts Harris With Viral Obama Meme From Jimmy Carter’s Funeral
The president-elect has trolled his former rival at the polls by posting a viral meme parodying a conversation he had with his Democratic predecessor at the late Jimmy Carter’s funeral.
Donald Trump shared the video via Truth Social on Sunday, which features himself chatting cordially with President Barack Obama while the two men were sat on the pews during Thursday’s service at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.
In the doctored audio, Obama is heard congratulating Trump on his recent win and asking him how he’s doing now, to which Trump responds, “A lot better now.”
Obama then tells Trump that “I knew you’d win,” and that “I did what I could to help [Kamala Harris]” but “she was horrendous.”
The voiceover has Trump quip back, “You know what I realized? Hillary still hates me; I know she’ll never forgive me,” before then inviting Obama to join him for a spot of golf back home in Florida.
As the clip then shows a stony-faced Harris entering the church to sit with her husband, Doug Emhoff, Obama says, “Did you see that? She didn’t even look at you” before Trump makes a snide remark about GOP-driven rumors of Harris drinking heavily since her loss in November.
Good in any case to see the president-elect hasn’t entirely lost his sense of humor after a judge last week sustained his conviction on 34 charges related to paying a pornstar not to spoil his chances ahead of the 2016 election by spilling the beans on their extramarital affair, now making him the first ‘felon president’ in the nearly 250-year history of the United States.
Though in fairness it seems his former rival also isn’t above making petty jabs either, after Harris posted a photo from the funeral to Instagram featuring literally herself standing in the pews alongside Biden, Obama and the Clintons, with Trump himself conveniently cropped out of view.
