Tuan Sing names new independent director

Richard Eu Yee Ming has been appointed as the new independent director of Tuan Sing Holdings Limited, joining three other independent directors on the group’s board of directors – Albert Choo Teow Huat, Neo Ban Chuan and Cheng Hong Kok.

Recognised by the Singapore Corporate Awards 2010 as ‘CEO of the Year’ for SGX-listed small cap companies, Eu was also named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year (Singapore) in 2011.

He served as non-executive chairman of Eu Yan Sang International since October 2017 and had also been the company’s Group CEO for 28 years. Currently, he sits on the board of various companies in Singapore like Reliance Asset Management Singapore and BIGL Technologies Group.

Eu also chairs Singapore University of Social Sciences’ Board of Trustees.

“On behalf of the group, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to Richard as he joins our Board of Directors. With his extensive corporate expertise and knowledge, we are confident that Richard will be a valuable addition to the team as we continue to uphold our proud history of strong corporate governance to our shareholders,” said Tuan Sing CEO William Liem.

Tuan Sing chairman Ong Beng Kheong noted that Eu is widely credited for cultivating one of the most renowned business success stories in Singapore – Eu Yan Sang.

“We are pleased to appoint him as our fourth and newest independent director, and we look forward to tapping on his expertise and experience to complement the diversity of our Board,” he added.
