SINGAPORE – Fan favourites Kenneth Ma, Mandy Wong, Lai Lok-Yi and Rebecca Zhu recently graced the press conference held at Singtel Comcentre on Friday (27 Sep) afternoon to celebrate the launch as well as meet their local fans.

Kenneth Ma is promoting the hit medical drama ‘Big White Duel’ where he starred as Tong Ming, the ethical cardiothoracic surgery head at Marshall Paxton hospital. Fans can also watch his series Big White Duel on e-Le (Singtel TV CH 11/501) on demand from 1 November. His latest drama, Agent C9 is also set to air on TVB Jade.

Big White Duel received huge success, so much that Kenneth Ma was even invited by a hospital to attend a seminar for medical professionals. He said that he was puzzled as to why a “fake” doctor would be invited to a seminar for “real” medical professionals.

Did he share with them anything in the seminar in the end?

Kenneth shared: “I have forgotten all the medical jargon used in Big White Duel!”

“I played a neurosurgeon in The Hippocratic Crush (On Call 36小時), and a cardiothoracic surgeon in Big White Duel. So I had to relearn the terms for each drama…because I’m a specialist of ‘suffering’,” he joked.

Mandy Wong and Lai Lok-Yi are publicising My Life as Loan Shark, the ongoing comedic drama following an illegal moneylender-turned-good as an on-screen couple for the first time while Rebecca Zhu shares about her upcoming romance drama Wonder Women featuring Miriam Yeung, Pakho Chau and Raymond Wong.

On her sizzling on-screen chemistry with Lok-Yi, Mandy said, “Whether as a dating or married couple onscreen, a sense of trust and security between the cast is most important. Both Kenneth and Lok Yi are great onscreen partners, and good men!” praising her co-stars.

Yahoo Lifestyle Singapore caught up with the TVB artistes after the Friday press event to hear them share more about their latest dramas.

Canto drama fans can now watch their favourite series the same time as Hong Kong, with the launch of TVB Jade (CH 511) and TVB Xing He (CH 517) channels on Singtel TV.
