Apple's next gen iPhone the iPhone 5 is responsible for two Twitter trending topics: the first-placed "#ButUGotThatiPhone5Tho" and the eighth placed "iPhone 5." The first of these trending topics mocks Apple fans for imaginary ordeals that they would have gone through to obtain the latest iPhone, such as "You can't pay your rent or eat for the next month" (@BcWeAreWomen) or "For the past 6 months all you've eaten is Ramen Noodles, mayonnaise sandwiches & sugar water every night for dinner" (@mrdrefuller).
Also causing a buzz today is the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton. Photos of Middleton sunbathing topless while on holiday were published in the French version of the magazine Closer, provoking outrage on the more conservative side of the channel -- outrage that, strangely enough, stems largely from the British tabloids.
Boxer Ricky Hatton is also making waves on Twitter after announcuing that he will return to the ring against an as-yet-unnamed opponent on November 24 after a career hiatus.
