Two Malaysians are the finalists of Masterchef Asia

Two Malaysians have made as the Top 3 finalists in the inaugural MasterChef Asia!

The two Malaysian finalists are Jasbir Kaur from Kuching and Marcus Low from Kuala Lumpur. Joining them as well is Singaporean Woo Wai Leong, where all three would be competing for the top spot in the grand finals.

In the last episode, the contestants were required to recreate a signature dish at one of Singapore's most famous fine dining restaurants, Les Amis, and then serve it to VIPs.

Priya Barve from India, 39, was eliminated during that round, leaving Jasbir, Marcus and Woo Wai Leong in the final three.

With two more episodes left, the next episode which will air this Thursday, 3 December on Astro Channel 709, will see the contestants cook a family favourite dish where the top two contestants with the best dishes will move on to the grand finale on 10 December 2015.

The first MasterChef Asia started out with 15 aspiring home cooks from across Asia competing for the coveted title, with culinary genius, Susur Lee, 3-Michelin-starred chef, Bruno Ménard and MasterChef Australia finalist, Audra Morrice, as the judges.
