Two men arrested for alleged molest incidents in Yishun, Punggol

Two men, aged 32 and 54, were arrested on Monday (18 Sept) by the Singapore Police Force for their suspected involvement in two separate molest cases.

In the first case, the victim reported to the police that he was molested at the void deck of Blk 760 at Yishun Street 72 at about 3.15pm on Monday.

In the second case, a student reported that she was molested on board a bus that was heading to Punggol from Pasir Ris.

Officers from the Ang Mo Kio Police Division followed up on the two cases and arrested both the suspects in Yishun and Punggol respectively on the same day, the police said in a statement on Tuesday (19 Sept).

Both men will be charged in court on Wednesday (20 Sept) for outrage of modesty. If convicted, they each face up to five years in jail, with fine and/or caning.
