Um, Jennifer Garner Might Have Ordered the Wrong Christmas Tree

Let's face it, we've all had some pretty epic decorating and/or crafting fails. While it can be frustrating to completely butcher a project or task, you'll usually end up laughing it off and learning something from it in the end. Actress Jennifer Garner had a little holiday flop of her own this week, and let's just say she's probably going to need to buy a couple extra ornaments, and a super tall ladder for sure.

The Peppermint star took to Instagram to document her little (or rather extra-large) slip-up. "I told my kids we could go bigger [in tree size] because we're in a rental house and it has a really big foyer... and then it was delivered and I'm not sure this was the tree we picked out," she says, as she pans the video to show a ginormous Christmas tree that had to be at least 15' high. "It's a bit aggressive," she quips, captioning the video "Go big or go home."

While we're not sure if this was an error on the tree delivery service, or if she misjudged the size when ordering, but either way, we're just so glad she shared this priceless mishap with us. Jen later writes in the comments "we are going to love the bottom third that we can actually decorate," hinting that the Garner fam most likely won't be decorating every square inch of this burly pine. Since Jen's rental (which you can see here) is not Rockefeller Plaza nor a hotel lobby, that's fair. We do hope she caps it with a nice snazzy tree topper though, even if it requires renting a cherry-picker from Home Depot.

Jen's festive fluke reminds us that things might not always end up happening the way you had planned them to, but you can't let that lessen your Christmas spirit. Remember to appreciate what you have (even if it's a tree made for a giant) and all the efforts you and your loved ones have put in as well.

And now on a lighter note, I will leave you with a comment on Jen's Instagram post from Katie Couric. It reads: "OH EM GEE that tree has some serious BTE (big tree energy)." 🤣🎄 Badum tsss.
