MANILA – One of the problems of residents in Barangay Sampaloc, Apalit, Pampanga is the lack of ambulance.
Barangay Sampaloc has a population of over 11,000 with majority of the residents being poor.
Chairman of the barangay, Melencio Catu said, every time a resident needs immediate medical attention, they can only deploy a barangay patrol vehicle for transportation to a hospital.
If many residents need help they cannot all be accommodated on the patrol vehicle),” he said.
This prompted Catu to request assistance from Kuya Daniel Razon, who immediately responded.
“Minsan ko lang sinabi kaagad niya ibinagay kaya very very proud ako. (I conveyed my request only once yet he immediately responded so I am very very proud. I am really delighted. Actually I did not ask from Kuya but he gave a tricycle. Kuya, thank you! Thank you very much for the camaraderie we had today,” said Catu.
Ricardo Erese said.
(They can use these in performing their duties. In addition is an ambulance from Brother Eli and Kuya Daniel which can render huge service to the residents.)
Along with these, the group conducted a medical mission in the barangay.
Over 300 residents received various services like medical, optical and dental services. Some were able to receive help for their legal problems. — Joshua Antonio | UNTV News & Rescue
