BULACAN, Philippines — For the fifth time, UNTV and its partners in public service led by Members Church of God International rendered a free medical and dental mission activity in Barangay Ligas in Malolos, Bulacan.
Barangay Ligas has 5,000 residents who are mostly poor.
Due to lack of financial resources, they can hardly seek medical attention.
That’s why Barangay Ligas residents are very thankful for the assistance of the station.
(It was in 2001 when my vision started to deteriorate. This medical mission is a great help because we could not have ourselves checked due to financial incapacity.)
(We are thankful to God for this medical mission. This is a blessing. Thank you very much. I underwent tooth extraction. I no longer feel any pain.)
Over 1,200 residents benefitted from the free medical, pedia, optical, dental and laboratory services and availed of free medicines.
Free haircut, massage and pregnancy test were also available.
In addition, some residents grabbed the opportunity to consult their legal problems.
The group’s free medical and dental mission activity is yearly conducted in the area.
It started in 2013 as a response to the request of Ligas Kooperatiba ng Bayan sa Pagpapaunlad or LKBP.
(We thank God that Brother Eli and Brother Daniel were used as instruments to not just teach spiritual matters, but also help through this kind of activity which is very important to our constituents. This is very important to us. We know that health is wealth and that some of our fellowmen can hardly seek medical attention. We witnessed the assistance of UNTV.) — Leslie Longboen, UNTV News & Rescue
