But the Australian jokingly played down the shot after the match despite his wide-eyed admiration on court. "I was trying to tell him that the shot wasn't that good! No, it was almost unreal. Almost got to the point where I wanted him to start making shots like that, and I finally got it. I was pretty happy with myself." A little compulsive -- John Millman, who will face Federer for a place in the quarter-finals, admitted he was a handful for his parents when he was growing up in Brisbane. "When I was 12, I was crazy. I think I was super, super OCD, and I tried to kind of wipe that away. I don't want to go back to when I was a little kid. I was really in my head back then. I was probably embarrassing my mum and dad and sisters too much, and they kind of stamped that out," said the Australian. Feeling tall being short -- Dominika Cibulkova, who measures up at 5ft 3ins (1.60m), has found a soulmate in tennis's land of the giants in men's player Diego Schwartzman who is just 5ft 7ins (1.70m). "I respect him a lot, because for me, it's very challenging to play the best tennis against all these tall girls. On the men's side, I cannot even think about returning John Isner (6ft 10in/2.08m) or Kevin Anderson (6ft 8ins/2.03m) or somebody like this. He has my respect," said the Slovakian who made the last 16 on Saturday by knocking out Wimbledon champion Angelique Kerber. Who's saying what "Well, now I feel like I have eaten 500 bagels with smoked salmon on them." -- Naomi Osaka when asked about her pre-match superstitions "I don't care because I'm just taking care about my draw, about my opponent, about my matches, and my day." -- Angelique Kerber not interested in why she and top two seeds Simona Halep and Caroline Wozniacki all failed to make it past the third round. "I lost." -- Alexander Zverev when asked what happened in his defeat to Philipp Kohlschreiber "I fight until my last T-shirt." -- Kohlschreiber "I don't know what anything has to do with Madison and my match." -- Kiki Bertens who lost to Marketa Vondrousova after being asked if Madison Keys can reach the final for a second successive season.
