Val Kilmer tweets 10 times about Cate Blanchett in 'creepy and obsessive' rant

Is Val Kilmer Okay?

The 57-year-old star has posted a series of “creepy and obsessive” tweets about actress Cate Blanchett, admitting to having dreams about her where “her husband wasn’t in them”.

The Top Gun star posted almost two dozen messages on the social network about Blanchett, 47, even including photos and memories of having met her.

“Once I flew all the way to Australia just to talk to Cate Blanchett. Her husband met me first. Or, instead, I guess, to be accurate,” he first said on March 25.

“And recently I’ve had 2 dreams with Cate Blanchett in them. Her husband wasn’t in either of them,” he added.

Fans flocked to his page on Twitter and reprimanded him, with one user writing: “Val Kilmer, you’re being super creepy and obsessive now let it go.”

Despite people begging him to stop, Kilmer continued his cringe-inducing spiel.

But what it was made even more odd by the fact Kilmer’s creepy tweets were interspersed with snaps of him walking around New York at some of the city’s iconic sites.

Though even New York’s beauty couldn’t distract him from his rant about Blanchett.

After he tweeted the below image, one follower wrote: “Yeah I’m sure her husband wouldn’t think you loving her as much as you clearly do is ok though.”

Kilmer replied, saying: “She’s had to deal with her beauty and attraction and fame for 25 years. You think they are Quakers or something?”

Finally, he noticed he had ruffled more than a few feathers and tried to defend himself over his sudden obsession with the star – who has kept quiet on the (likely unwanted) attention she’s received.

He wrote earlier today:

All in all, the 57-year-old actor tweeted about Blanchett 10 times. Should Blanchett be hiring extra security?

Because it’s not the first time Kilmer has been public about his “love” for her. In an interview with Vulture earlier this month, he said he said he is “all the way in love” with her.

Back in 2006 he was interviewed by Elle and admitted he once lost the ability to speak in her presence.

When he was asked: “Did you make your feelings for her known?” he responded: “I think she probably got a sense of it when I not only forgot my dialogue in the scene, I forgot that I was acting, I forgot I was on a movie set, and I just stood there staring at her.”
