Veteran ICM Partners Exec Rick Levy to Leave Agency by End of Year

Veteran ICM Partners executive and founding partner Rick Levy has stepped down from his role of chief operating officer and will leave the agency entirely by the end of this year, an individual with knowledge of the situation told TheWrap.

He will remain general counsel and work closely with managing director Chris Silbermann through the end of the year. Levy added the COO title in October after former Tribune Publishing exec Justine Dearborn held the position for a short period of time.

According to the individual with knowledge, Levy is leaving the company that he has been at since 1997 completely by choice. He will continue to serve on boards, including the board of U.K. agency Primary Talent that was acquired by ICM in March.

Levy, one of the employees who has been at ICM the longest, represents ICM in the Association of Talent Agents and played a major role in negotiating the split between ICM and former private equity partner Rizvi Traverse in May 2012.

According to the individual with knowledge, the COO position was already effectively dissolved in January, with co-presidents Kevin Crotty and Sloan Harris stepping in to split up the duties.

Variety first reported the news.
