Victorio Senduk Says He Has A Veteran’s Advantage Over Sunoto In Jakarta

Indonesia’s Victorio “Indra” Senduk is ready to rebound from his first setback in ONE Championship.

The West Java native suffered his first career loss at ONE: GRIT AND GLORY in May when he was edged out on the scorecards by Cambodia’s Sor Sey.

Determined to ensure the same fate doesn’t befall him at ONE: CONQUEST OF HEROES on 22 September in Jakarta, Senduk has made changes and is ready to return to winning form.

“Indra” has dropped down a weight class, from featherweight to bantamweight, and has put together the most comprehensive training camp of his career for his upcoming bout with “The Terminator” Sunoto in Jakarta.

“I am determined to bounce back, especially with the support of my team,” he says.

“They have been continuously motivating me and lifting me up to bounce back. My manager, coaches, and sparring partners are working together to assist me, as well as my family.”

“I want to show that my last defeat was not the end. Instead, it has pushed me to prove that I am capable of making a comeback by training even harder with my team. I can rise up, and I will become stronger than ever.”

Fellow countryman Sunoto will present a stiff test of Senduk’s new approach. “The Terminator” is a WKF Indonesia Champion, a member of the national sambo team, and a brown belt in Japanese jiu-jitsu. Before his recent loss to Shuya “Stealth” Kamikubo, he was riding a four-bout win streak.

Senduk respects his opponent’s credentials, but he says he will hold the trump cards when the pair meet inside the cage.

“I will let everything out. I promise to do my best when I fight him,” he says.

“I know that Sunoto is younger, but I can say that I am his senior in martial arts, and I have more experience.”

His battle with his fellow countryman promises to deliver fireworks, and Senduk says he plans on using his bout against Sunoto as a springboard for future success in ONE.

“All fighters aim for victory, no exceptions” he explains.

“For me, whomever I am competing against in my weight division will not be a problem, including Sunoto.

“I want to become a champion and hold that World Championship belt. I can only train harder, coordinate well with my team, and pray for the best outcome.”
