Video: MMA fighter dances during fight, gets knocked out

NFL players dance in the end zone after they score a touchdown. Athletes dance after they win a title. But, dancing in the middle of a MMA fight?

We saw it on Saturday night during the British Challenge Mixed Martial Arts (BCMMA) 18 event as Joe Harding faced Johan Segas in an amateur featherweight bout.

After connecting with a high kick and then a left jab, Harding decided to break out a salsa dance in the middle of the cage. Segas noticed and was clearly not impressed by Harding’s dance moves as he connected on a left head kick that sent Harding’s eyes back into his head before he hit the canvas.

Segas landed a couple hammerfists for good measure and the referee finally stepped in when it was clear Harding was out.

Let’s hope Harding learned a lesson and will never do something like that again. And hopefully fighters everywhere learned something there. Never dance until you won the fight.
