Arrest Made in Jerusalem Stabbing, Say Israeli Police

A man was arrested after being apprehended by bystanders in Petah Tikva, in the central district of Israel, on October 7, following an alleged knife attack on a man at the entrance of a shopping mall in the area. Local reports named the suspect as 25-year-old Tamer Younis Varidat, from the Hebron-area village of Daharia.

The victim, who was treated at the scene before being taken to a nearby hospital, received multiple stab wounds to the upper body. The suspect has been taken into custody for questioning by the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency). The attack follows a spate of stabbings in Jerusalem on Wednesday.
