Boy Scouts of America Abolishes Ban on Gay Adult Leaders and Employees

The Boy Scouts of America voted to lift an outright ban on openly gay adult leaders and employees on Monday, July 27. Dr. Robert M. Gates, national president of the 105-year-old organisation, said in this video that the policy had “for far too long divided and distracted us” and that after the adoption of the resolution, “No youth may be denied membership to our organisation on the basis of sexual orientation”.
