Car Gets Stuck on Flooded Virginia Road After Heavy Rain

Heavy rains overnight into Thursday, September 29, triggered flash flooding in northern and central Virginia. Three inches of rain had fallen by the morning, according to local reports. A break in the rain was expected on Thursday morning, but more heavy rain was expected by afternoon. A flash-flood watch remains in effect until Friday. The flooding that accompanied the rain closed roads through the area.
