Chennai's 'Worst Rain in 100 Years' Batters City
Torrential downpours triggered flooding in Chennai on Tuesday, December 1, amid the “worst rain in 100 years” to batter the city, Times of India reported. All flight operations at Chennai airport were suspended after floodwater inundated the runway and tarmac.
This footage was filmed by Chennai resident Kavitha Dhakshinamoorthy and shows a bus traveling along Velachery main road, which was deluged with water.
