Civilians Flee North Waziristan as Military Strikes Underway

Clashes in northwestern Pakistan’s North Waziristan region has led to the exodus of thousands of civilians fleeing the country’s embattled tribal area. According to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, who released the footage above, over 450,000 civilians have been displaced. Many have relocated to the neighboring Bannu District, where aid and relief efforts have reportedly been slow to reach refugees.
