Coast Guard Rescues Man Off Jersey Shore During Nor'easter

The US Coast Guard plucked a man out of the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Manasquan, New Jersey, on October 4 after he was knocked off his personal watercraft. This video shows guardsmen rescuing the man by hauling up by helicopter.

The uploader stated the man was riding a personal watercraft out Manaquan Inlet when he was knocked off by a wave. The watercraft settled onto the jetty while the man floated in the water for about five minutes before being rescued. A witness told NJ.com the same account of the incident.

A nor’easter that has stalled off the east coast has generated heavy wind and rain along the Jersey Shore, according to reports. Shore towns dealt with coastal and road flooding for three days because of the storm, especially at high tides.
