Dramatic Drone Video Shows Floods in Simonton

The Brazos River was expected to crest at a record level on Tuesday, May 31. Simonton, Texas, residents were forced from their homes like others near the river because of the massive flooding, according to local reports. Multiple roads were closed due to the flooding.
The river was expected to crest at 53.5 feet, eight feet above flood stage. The river was not expected to recede to below flood levels until the weekend.
