Dwight Howard Stranded With Rockets Fans as Storm Hits Houston

The Houston Rockets finally got off the mark in their Western Conference finals series against the Golden State Warriors on May 25, sending fans home happy. Or most of them anyway. Hundreds decided to wait out a storm that hit shortly before the game ended at 11pm local time. The Rockets’ star center, Dwight Howard, was also stranded. He said he felt like he was at home in the arena with fans. “It’s a great place to be,” he said.

Although other players made it out of the arena, Howard said he lived far from the Toyota Center and that he didn’t want to risk being stranded on a highway. Credit: Adam Clanton
