EU High Representative Visits Tehran in Steps to Implement Nuclear Deal

The EU high representative for foreign affairs Federica Mogherini, visited Iran on July 28, in order to “start the concrete work of the implementation of the deal”, she said in a joint press conference held in Tehran two weeks after a deal was reached regarding Iran’s nuclear program.

Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif said in the press conference and saying that “we hope that all sides including the US remain committed to their relevant action which should be done” in the framework of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, according to Iranian news agency Mehri. Whilst Mogherini can be heard saying that reaching the deal shows that “diplomacy and multi-lateralism do bring results if all parties are committed with strong political will, patience and determination”.
