Flash Flooding Drenches Kansas City's Westport Area

Heavy rain led to flash flooding and road closures in several areas of Kansas City on Friday, August 26. The flooding also led to the temporary stoppage of the city’s streetcar service. The Johnson County Emergency Management office said more than 10 water rescues were made in the area on Friday evening, according to reports.
