Footage Shows Devastation on Doce River After Dam Burst

At least 12 people were reportedly killed and hundreds more were left homeless after a dam holding mining waste in Minas Gerais, near the town of Mariana in southeastern Brazil, burst on the afternoon of November 5. Nearly 300,000 people were left without access to water, according to reports.

This footage shows the devastation on the River Doce following the dam’s collapse.
