Hotel Guests Stranded After Deadly Fire Rips Through Karachi's Regent Hotel

At least 11 people were killed and 30 others injured, including Pakistani cricket players, as a fire tore through a Karachi hotel in the early hours of Monday, December 5.

International cricketer Sohaib Maqsood was at the hotel with fellow Pakistani players when the fire broke out. Numerous reports said UBL bowler Yasin Murtaza jumped out of the second floor window and fractured his leg.

Three doctors were reportedly also among the dead.
