Hundreds Join Bra Protest Against 'Breast Attack' Sentence

Around 200 people wearing bras rallied to the Hong Kong Police Headquarters on Sunday, August 2, after a woman was sentenced to three-and-a-half months in prison for assaulting a police officer with her breast. Demonstrators chanted “breasts are not weapons” as they decried the ruling for 30-year-old Ng Lai-ying, accused of bumping her chest against a police officer’s arm during a March protest against cross-border traders from mainland China.

Ng is currently on bail pending an appeal. Credit: YouTube/MM@DBC.HK
