Jack Warner Reacts to FIFA Corruption Allegations

Former Vice President of FIFA Jack Warner denied allegations of corruption leveled against him and several other senior FIFA officials on May 27, saying he had served his country, Trinidad and Tobago, “faithfully and fearlessly”. In this short video, Warner, accompanied by emotive music, says he has “no regrets whatsoever” regarding his activities. Warner surrendered to police in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, later on the same day.

The US district court indictment charged Warner with “racketeering and bribery conspiracy, dating from 1991 to 2015”.

The charges, made on May 27 and backed by the FBI, allege widespread corruption within FIFA. Seven officials were arrested that day in an early-morning police raid in Zurich. Six of those arrested were reported to be contesting extradition to the US. Credit: YouTube/Jack Warner
