'Largest Ever' Burning of Ivory and Rhino Horn Conducted in Kenya

Kenya’s wildlife service carried out the largest burning of ivory and rhino horns in history on April 30, according to reports.

The burning of a reported 105 tons of ivory and 1.35 tons of rhinos horns was designed to discourage poaching and protect wildlife. It was also designed to cut off the supply of the ivory and rhino horn to consumer countries.
