Lost Duckling Rescued From Drain in Droitwich, Reunited With Mother Duck

When it comes to animal rescues, firefighters are well accustomed to rescuing cats stuck in trees. But the rescue services on Wednesday, April 27, were called to Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire, to rescue a duckling from a drain.

With bare hands and a green cardboard box, the brave staff of the Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service lifted the metal grill and removed the cheeping duckling from the drain. Given a clean bill of health, the duckling was placed in a nearby canal where it was quickly met by its loudly quacking mother duck. Credit: YouTube/Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service
