Mesa Fire in Santa Barbara County 75 Percent Contained
A 300-acre fire in Santa Barbara County, California, was 75 percent contained on June 30, and evacuation orders in all areas except Cebada Canyon were lifted. About 1,400 residents had been affected by the evacuation orders.
This video shows the air attack against the fire on June 29.
The Mesa Fire also had threatened La Purisima Mission State Historic Park, but the mission grounds were open with some trail closures on June 30.
