Northern Lights Stream Across Icelandic Skyline

Reykjavik City Council said it would be cutting power to selected areas of the Icelandic capital on September 28, ahead of a forecasted display of the Northern Lights. Street lights were turned off between 10 pm and 11 pm on Wednesday night, with homeowners being asked to turn off the lights in their own homes to reduce light pollution, according to reports.
