NYPD Officer Allegedly Harasses Uber Driver

A video showing an Uber driver allegedly harassed by a New York City police officer is making the rounds on the internet. The source, who appears to be using the car-sharing service, said in the video description that the Uber driver had gestured “casually and non-offensively” to a driver of an unmarked car that attempted to park without using his blinkers or reverse lights.

The source said the police officer then “aggressively” pulled the Uber driver over. This video shows a man, not in NYPD uniform, yelling at a driver through the window.

“People are allowed to park their cars on the side of the street without your interference…especially when the person you’re doing it to are the police,” said the alleged police officer.

The man then asked the Uber driver what country he is from and how long he has lived in the United States before saying, “The only reason you’re not in handcuffs going to jail and getting thumb [prints] in the precinct is because I have things to do. That’s the only reason that’s not happening. Because this isn’t important enough for me. You’re not important enough,” said the alleged officer. Credit: YouTube/Sanjay Seth
