Obama Argues for Gun Control in Wake of Orlando Shooting

In his June 18 weekly address, US President Barack Obama focused on the Orlando shooting, reiterating his pledge to try to destroy Islamic State, and saying he would continue to argue for greater controls on assault weapons.

“Being tough on terrorism requires more than talk,” he said. “If we’re going to raise our kids in a safer, more loving, world, we have to speak up for it.”
