Olympia Protesters Clash With Police After Shooting of Unarmed Men

Protests broke out in Olympia, Washington, on May 21 after a white police officer shot two unarmed black men. One of the men is accused of assaulting the officer before the shooting, and both are expected to survive.

Most of the protests were peaceful, but there were clashes later in the day between marchers and police. A confrontation between groups of protesters prompted a police response, according to local media, and then protesters clashed with responding officers. The Seattle Times reported the later marches were more militant and drew a greater police response.

This video shows some of the police response to the clashes.
