Pollution Hits Inner Mongolia

Smog covered Hohhot, capital of Inner Mongolia on November 29, prompting 175 flight cancellations. China News Service reported the level of small particles in the air (PM2.5) soared to 655 micrograms per cubic meters in parts of the city – about 26.2 times higher than the level considered safe by the World Health Organisation.
