Severe Storm Leaves Dozens Dead in Pakistan

At least 45 people were killed and more than 200 injured after heavy rain brought floods to parts of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Sunday. The cities of Peshawar, Charsadda and Nowshera were hardest hit with strong winds and hail destroying buildings, uprooting trees and felling electrical pylons. Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed “deep sorrow and grief” over the loss of lives and property in a Facebook statement. Credit: Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty
