Severe Storms Trigger Flash Floods, Hail in Mississippi

Severe thunderstorms in southern Mississippi on Thursday, April 28, generated flash floods and hail. Roads were shut down as sections were underwater because of the heavy rain, according to local reports. Some schools also were delayed in their opening, and Gulfport High School closed early because of flooding inside the school.
