Solar Impulse Draws Within a Day of Hawaii

The Solar Impulse aircraft has now flown within 24 hours’ distance of Hawaii. Its pilot, André Borschberg, is battling fatigue after four days at the controls, and concerns have risen about the plane’s battery temperature and power. This video shows a cockpit view. Upon setting down in Hawaii, Solar Impulse would set a record for distance flown by an electric plane (4,000 miles); it just broke a record for flight duration by a single pilot.
