The Team Bringing Lab-Made Spider Silk to Clothing Racks

June 16 -- Spider silk is one of nature's most incredible materials -- five times stronger than steel and more elastic than rubber bands. Scientists have been trying to make mimic spider silk for a long time...but nobody's managed...until now. A team of scientists working in the Bay Area say they've found a way to make lab-grown silk. The company is called Bolt Threads and it's just raised $32 million to bring man-made spider silk to commercial clothing racks. Bloomberg met the team.
