Thousands of Migrants Held Up in the Cold at Greek Petrol Station

Thousands of migrants are reportedly stranded in miserable winter conditions at a petrol station in Polykastro, about 15km south of the Idomeni border crossing from Greece to Macedonia. According to Greek reports, delays by Macedonian authorities in processing migrants has held up 4,500 people at the petrol station, with a further 2,500 people in camps in Idomeni.

Médecins Sans Frontières‎ said on Friday, February 5, that its border camp had reached capacity.
