A time lapse video captured heavy snowfall and a water-main replacement in downtown Chicago, Illinois. The 2:36 minute footage, filmed overnight into February 26 shows snowfall, before a crew arrives to clear the road and lay a new water pipe along West Belmont Avenue and California Avenue.

Lake-effect snow descended on Chicago early on February 26, hampering residents’ commutes to work. About 2 to 2.4 inches of snow were recordedat O’Hare International Airport and Midway Airport throughout the evening, according to reports. Credit: YouTube/TivoliBalactica
