Tokyo Electric Power Removes Largest Piece of Rubble From Fukushima Fuel Pool

Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) removed 20 tons of debris from the Unit 3 reactor building at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station on Sunday, August 2. The company said the “largest and most complex piece of rubble” was lifted from the fuel pool by two 600-ton cranes, as seen in this video. The operation cleared the way for the clean-up of the remaining debris, TEPCO said. Credit: Facebook/Tokyo Electric Power Company, Incorporated (TEPCO)
