US, Saudi Arabia Discuss Iran, Cybersecurity, New Strategic Partnership

US President Barack Obama hosted King Salman of Saudi Arabia in the White House on September 4, with the two leaders discussing a wide range of topics. Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir said at a news conference that the meeting was a “testament to the breadth and strength of the relationship between us.” They discussed the Iran deal, cybersecurity and terrorism, al-Jubeir said.

“Now we have one less problem for the time being to deal with, with regards to Iran,” he said. “We can now focus more intensely on the nefarious activities that Iran is engaged in the region.”

Salman and Obama also discussed “implementation of a new strategic partnership,” al-Jubeir said. Credit: YouTube/Saudi Embassy in the US
