Woman police constable alleges rape by two colleagues in Etawah

A woman police constable in Uttar Pradesh alleged that she was raped at gun point by two of her male colleagues and a driver while she was on duty. The incident took place on September 28 in Jhansi city where the victim was posted during an event. The victim is a resident of Etawah city of the state. The case came to light when the victim filed a complaint with the police on Monday. Senior Superintendent of Etawah, Manzil Saini, said the victim has filed a First Information Report (FIR) against three people. In her complaint, the victim has also named a female constable who accompanied her when the incident happened. However, Saini said the latter has denied any involvement in the case and any results will be announced only after due investigation is completed. Reportedly, the victim and her female colleague were returning to Jhansi on September 28 when they were lured by two constables and a driver in a car who offered them a lift. When the two women got into the car, the driver took them to a desolated place where all the three accused took turns to rape her while her colleague remained seated in the car.
