Virginia Lok says Jacqueline Wong is not ready to face public

23 Apr – TVB Executive Virginia Lok has recently dismissed rumours that actress Jacqueline Wong has returned home to Canada amid her cheating scandal.

As reported on Mingpao, Lok, who appeared at the Hong Kong Coliseum for James Ng's concert recently, shared that she is still in communication with Jacqueline, whom she said has been "emotionally unstable" since the scandal made headlines.

"She is currently being accompanied by her sister. The affair had affected her greatly. The company had to rearrange a lot of work and replace her with other artistes," she said.

However, Lok assured that the whole issue has not affected the company much, as sponsors were very understanding of the situation.

When asked if Jacqueline's current situation would affect her status in TVB, she stated that they have yet to discuss the contract issues.

"It is still a long way to go before her contract expires. It was her own decision to halt her work for now. She needs more time," she said.

Lok also urge the media to give the actress some space and the chance to prepare herself before appearing in public.

"Now is not the time. We're still worried about her," she said.
