The local arm of German marquee Volkswagen announced three additional variants for its new, recently-launched lineup come November this year.
Volkswagen Philippines revealed that following the introduction last May of the Santana 1.4 MPI Manual Transmission Trendline, the Lavida 230 TSI DSG Comfortline, and the Tiguan 280 TSI DSG Comfortline, it would introduce mid- to high variants of the Santana and Lamando models.
The Volkswagen dealerships will now have the Santana 1.5 MPI AT Trendline and Comfortline, Santana GTS 1.5 MPI AT Comfortline, and the Lamando 280 TSI DSG Comfortline and Highline.
The Santana 1.5 MPI AT Trendline and Comfortline and the Santana GTS 1.5 MPI AT Comfortline are powered by its 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder, in-line MPI gasoline engine with BlueMotion Technology capable of delivering 108.5 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque.
Meanwhile, the Lamando 280 TSI DSG Comfortline and Highline variants, which is propelled by the 1.4-liter, 4-cylinder, in-line TSI gasoline engine with BlueMotion Technology–is very able to dish out around 148 horses and 250 Nm of torque.
Priced at PHP898,000 (Trendline) and PHP962,000 (Comfortline), the available colors for the Santana 1.5 MPI AT Trendline and Comfortline are Deep Black, Polar White, and Reflex Silver. The Santana GTS 1.5 MPI AT Comfortline, which has an introductory price of PHP998,000, is available in Polar White, Toffee Brown, and Red Rock Metallic.
The available exterior colors for the Lamando, which has a price tag of PHP1.569 million (Comfortline) and PHP1.703 million (Highline), are Mangangrey, Polar White, Coriandolo (Comfortline only), Dark Bronze (Comfortline only), and Misano Red (Highline only).
Just like the first three models launched in May, the latest offers come with comprehensive warranty coverages in line with the celebration of the 5th anniversary of Volkswagen Philippines as a member of the Ayala Group of companies this September.
Aside from the three years or 100,000-km general warranty (whichever comes first), they would also be offered with a three-year warranty for paint and another three-year warranty for through-corrosion of the main steel body structure.
The periodic maintenance service (PMS) interval schedule for these new models is also structured for its owners’ convenience. The PMS interval is once a year, or every 10,000 kms, whichever comes first. This is more convenient and more cost-efficient compared to the industry-standard 5,000-km PMS interval.
EDITOR’S NOTE: We reported about the arrival of these very same models way back in May, shortly after Volkswagen Philippines announced the launch of its new local lineup.
